Carbon Steel Bolts

Carbon Steel Fasteners have high strength and are used for bolting oil and gas pipelines, structural joints, shipbuilding, automotives, etc. Applications which demands high strength and corrosion resistance with economic feasibility, carbon steel fasteners are often supplied with industrial PTFE (abbr. for polytetrafluoroethylene) coatings. Most carbon steel fasteners are used with Teflon® ptfe coatings. AISI 1018, 1020, 1040, 1045/CK45 are common carbon steel grades used for producing these fasteners. Industrial specifications like ASTM A36, A193, A194, A307, A354, A449, A540, A563, F1554 & SAE J429 covers high tensile carbon steel fasteners grades.

Carbon Steel is an abundantly used steel category in today’s industrial world. Its existence is merely indebted. Carbon Steel plays an important role in civil and industrial sectors. Carbon steel is categorized into three sub categories like Low Carbon Steel, Medium Carbon Steel & High Carbon Steel. Carbon steel fasteners are either cold forged or hot forged.
