AISI 1045 fasteners are manufactured for applications requiring high strength and hardenability with additional advantage of being low cost over most high tensile bolting material. AISI equivalent CK45 are often most common starting material for mass production of high tensile fasteners including bolts, screws, stud bolts, threaded rods, nuts, etc. AISI 1045 is used in most industries including stuctural construction, maring and offshore, power planta and many other industrial projects.

About AISI 1045
Carbon steel AISI 1045 is a medium strength steel with a tensile between 570 – 700MPa and Brinell hardness between 170 to 210. AISI 1045 has good strength and impact properties in either normalized or hot rolled condition. It also possess good machinability and weldability.Unlike AISI 1020, this steel grade can be efficiently flame hardened or induction hardened. Further AISI 1045 possess excelletn size accuracy, concentricity and straightness. This carbon steel alloy can be formed into turned, ground and polished bars that can be machined unsymmetrically with limited distortion
