About Incoloy® 825
Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with addition of molybdenum and copper elements. Alloy 825 is designed to exhibit exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. Incoloy 825 is quite similar to Incoloy 800 but with improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. Alloy 825 has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Incoloy 825 is also resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids environment pavings its way into chemical process streams. Incoloy 825 is widely used for bolting application in oil & gas extraction, nuclear fuel processing, acid production and pickling equipment manufacturing.
