Countersunk washers are designed to use with flat head screws to prevent the normal tendency of the screw heads to split the host surface like wood. These countersunk washers can be produced according to the screw head degree. The washer/screw combination applies force the same way a pan-head screw does, but is counterbored to a flush position.
Countersunk washers are machined from bar stock.
