Wing Nuts

Wing Nuts

Wing Nuts are special type of hand driven nuts with two wing like projections as a leverage for the thumb and fingers for turning. Wing nuts are often called as butterfly nuts or butterfly wing nuts. Butterfly wing nuts can be tightened or loosed by hand, it does not require any wrenching tool. Wing nuts are used in joints where frequent adjustments or disassembly is required. Wing nut dimensions are defined in both metric and imperials sizes with unified national coarse pitch (UNC), fine pitch (UNF), fixed pitch (UN) and iso metric thread profile. These are produced across all material categories and astm specifications.
