Alloy 20 fasteners are produced in all forms of bolts, screws, stud bolts, threaded rods, nuts, washers and other customised fastening parts. Boltport offers alloy 20 fasteners in metric and imperial system with fine or coarse threads. Alloy 20 stainless steel fasteners are extensively used for bolting pipeline components, instruments & equipments in chemical processing, food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals and other allied industrial sectors. Grade equivalent includes UNS N08020, DIN EN 2.4660, Alloy 20Cb3 & Carpenter 20.

Alloy 20 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy not clearly classified between stainless steel & nickel alloy. Alloy 20 was specially developed to withstand sulphuric acid containing environments. Alloy 20 chemistry provides excellent general corrosion resistance. Restricted carbon plus columbium(niobium) stabilization permits welded fabrication to be used in corrosive environments. At nickel more than 32%, alloy 20 has practical immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Alloy 20 is chosen to solve SCC problesm, where 316L stainless steel often fails.
