Corrosion Resistant Fasteners

Corrosion Resistant Fasteners

Corrosion
Resistant

This category of bolting alloys demonstrates resistance to general corrosion, intergranular corrosion localised corrosion, galvanic corrosion or corrosion cracking caused by other environmental conditions. We offer various types of bolting or fasteners across full range of stainless steel alloys, copper alloys, tantalum, zirconium, pure nickel alloy and other corrosion resistant nickel based alloys. Some of these alloys exhibits corrosion resistance with high temperature properties. While some resists stress corrosion cracking with high degree of product life cycle.

Corrosion Resistant Fastener Specifications

  • ASTM A242/A242M
This specification covers high-strength low-alloy structural steel shapes, plates, and bars for welded, riveted, or bolted construction with atmospheric corrosion resistance intended primarily for use as structural members.
  • ASTM A588/A588M
This specification covers high-strength low-alloy structural steel shapes, plates, and bars for welded, riveted, or bolted construction with atmospheric corrosion resistance but intended primarily for use in welded bridges and buildings.
  • ASTM A606/A606M
This specification covers standards for high-strength, low-alloy, hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel sheets and strips cut in lengths or coils for structural and miscellaneous purposes. The material shall come in Types 2 and 4 steels having enhanced atmospheric corrosion resistance.
  • ASTM A709/A709M
This specification covers carbon and high-strength low alloy steel structural shapes, plates and bars, and quenched and tempered alloy steel for structural plates intended for use in bridges. Atmospheric corrosion resistance shall also be determined.
  • ASTM A847/A847M
This specification covers standard requirements for cold-formed welded and seamless high-strength, low-alloy round, square, rectangular, or special shaped structural tubing for welded, riveted, or bolted construction of bridges and buildings and for general structural purposes where high strength and enhanced atmospheric corrosion resistance are required.
  • ASTM A852/A852M
This specification covers quenched and tempered high-strength low-alloy structural steel plates for welded, riveted, or bolted construction. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of this steel in most environments is substantially better than that of carbon structural steels with or without copper addition.
  • ASTM A871/A871M
This specification covers high-strength low-alloy structural steel plate used for tubular structures and poles. This steel has atmospheric corrosion resistance so it can be used bare or unpainted for many applications.
