Stainless Steel Fastener Grades
Stainless Steel fasteners are used in varied industrial applications, owing to their distinguished corrosion resistance, aesthetic appearance and cost effectiveness. Stainless steel fasteners have medium strength and high corrosion resistance in comparison to carbon and alloy steel fasteners. Stainless steel fasteners can be easily cold forged and hot forged. Depending upon the size, quantity, application, costing, one can opt for cold forged or hot forged stainless steel fasteners. Cold forged stainless steel fasteners are limited to M24 or 1" in diameter, large sizes are hot forged. Stainless steel fasteners have high aesthetic value and are often used without any coating.
Stainless Steel covers a vast range of alloys categorized into 3 main groups; Austenitic, Ferritic & Martensitic. Apart from these, more advance form of stainless steel was developed in past few decades called Duplex Stainless Steel, which falls under Austenitic-Ferritic group, as it consist equal composition of both ferritic & austenitic phase stainless steel.
304/304L and 316/316L are most widely used grades for manufacturing stainless steel fasteners. Other grades include 309, 310, 316ti, 321, 347, 348, 410, 420, 430f, 440c, 446, 904L, 15-5ph, 17-4ph, S31254, A286, Alloy 20, etc. We offer fasteners such as bolts, screws, stud bolts, threaded rods, nuts, washers with wide range in each of their sub categories. Stainless steel fasteners are produced abunduntly in cold forged condition under specification BS EN ISO 3506 & ASTM F593 & F594. Other stainless steel fasteners specifications includes ASTM A193, A194, A320, A1014 & A1082.
